We Wish To See Jesus
Lenten Sermon Series
-Gary Formby, Pastor
Some Greeks came to Philip with a request, “We wish to see Jesus.” This is our prayer as we enter Lent and start our journey toward the cross and resurrection of Jesus. We can see almost anything else in our journey through life, but until we see Jesus, we miss the most important things we can ever see about God, life, our world, others and ourselves. Lent is an invitation to see and not miss the most important things in life. To see the truth in Jesus is to be changed in every way from the inside out. To miss the truth revealed in Jesus is to miss out now and eternally. To see Jesus is our greatest need and opportunity. Our wish this Lent will be to see Jesus.

Come observe the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life. Pastor Gary will offer a message in the chapel each Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. following Wednesday night suppers, as a prelude to Holy Thursday and Good Friday, the bookends of 24 hours that changed the world.
