Stewart is a United Methodist minister who has specialized in counseling and holds the rank of Clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). He works with people around a variety of important "life-issues" among which are personal growth, Marriage and family problems, relationship stresses and strains, divorce, remarriage, and turning points in families such as births, deaths, children leaving, elder care, and the like. Personal problems such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and coping with loss or grief are all natural issues people bring to counseling. Stewart takes the religious side of life seriously, but does not dispense advice or come across as "holier-than-thou". Rather, his philosophy seeks to find the natural health in a person's life and magnify that. Rev. Jackson can be reached at the Office of United Methodist Pastoral Care and Counseling, 205-824-8320, or at umpcc@umccounseling.org.
