Begin the new year with a new group

-Stevi Price, Adult Ministries Chair

I cannot believe that it’s already 2018! What a celebration it is to welcome in a fresh start. Everyone always seems so reinvigorated by this change and it’s an excellent time for reflection and goal setting.
Speaking of goal setting, I am reminded that the Lord wants us to aim to draw close to Him. I would like to encourage each of you to lean on Him and learn His word. He is the true source of new beginnings.
Sheparding book

We have a lot of class offerings to help you reach your goal and I am extremely excited to announce that we will host Tedd Tripp in April. He is the president of Shepherding the Heart Ministries, a non-profit organization, whose mission is connecting the hearts of God’s people to the power and grace of the gospel. He is known around the world for the best-selling child rearing book, Shepherding a Child’s Heart, and as the presenter of Shepherding a Child’s Heart Ministries (www.shepherdingtheheart.org). A study of Shepherding a Child’s Heart will begin this month and I am eager to witness how this study will transform the body of Christ at our church. Email me if you are interested in getting signed up for the class. We will meet on Wednesday nights after dinner.
There are also many other opportunities at CUMC to get connected to a small group and strengthen your relationship with the Lord. Be sure to check them out below. Happy New Year!
